The GSA Africa team in partnership with the Federal Ethiopian Government are looking forward to welcoming you to Addis Ababa to attend the GSA Africa Summit. 

The summit and workshop, spanning three days, will serve as a dynamic platform for critical discussions surrounding the development of innovation economies, with a specific focus on internationalization, access to markets, circularity, health, climate, and securing capital.

LOGISTICS:

All travel arrangements, bookings, and coordination are being managed by our partners in Ethiopia. It's important to note that we do not handle travel funds directly; this process is facilitated by the Federal Government and their transversal procurement departments.

Accommodation:

  • As a GSA Africa guest, rooms have been allocated at The Jupiter International Hotel for the duration of your stay in Addis Ababa to facilitate your attendance at the GSA Africa Summit.

  • The booking includes Breakfast ONLY.

  • The settling of your hotel account is your responsibility, any additional hotel expenses or charges incurred must be settled prior to your departure.

Transport:

  • Airport: The hotel shuttle will transport you to and from the airport, this is scheduled using your flight details.

  • Hotel: Transport to and from the event venues will be facilitated.

  • The transportation schedule will be shared separately, please ensure to arrive timelessly any missed transport will be at your own cost.

Any other transport expenses(s) will be at your own cost.

 

Flights and Visa:

  • Your e-ticket will be automatically sent through to the email address provided by you. Any modifications to the booking will be at your own cost.

  • Visa application and associated expenses will be at your own cost.

  • Please ensure you travel with a valid passport, visa and yellow fever certificate.

Catering:

 Breakfast is included in accommodation.

  • Wednesday, 25 October & Thursday, 26 October: Tea & Coffee & Lunch will be provided at the Arts & Science Museum.

  • Thursday, 26 October: Dinner will be covered at the Awards Dinner.

  • Friday, 27 October:  Tea & Coffee & Lunch will be provided at ALX Ethiopia.

 Any other related expense(s) will be at your own cost.

Insurance and Liability:

  • Travel and Medical insurance are the sole responsibility of the individual.

  • The event organizers shall not assume liability for any injuries or incidents of theft that may occur during your stay and travel.

    15 Regional finalists will be crowned African winners, recognised for their contributions to solving critical global challenges.

  • Startup Workshops at ALX Ethiopia

    Day 3 is dedicated to startups. Engage in startup masterclasses, peer-to-peer learning, and interactive discussions on key topics such as marketing and story strategy, financial planning, and networking.

Media Relations

As a Regional Winner and possible African Winner, it's important to be ready to respond to enquiries and engage in interviews with selected media representatives. The GSA Team will share recommended questions to have prepared prior to the GSA Africa Summit.

The choice of which startups to interview rests at the discretion of the media house.
